Regional Council for Disability Affairs (RCDA) Caraga: Accessibility Audit in Butuan City



Members of the Regional Council for Disability Affairs (RCDA) convene for a briefing on the minimum requirements set intended for the persons with disability (PWDs) based on the monitoring checklist on the compliance of the minimum requirements of the accessibility law for government buildings and private establishments for public use, held recently at Butuan City Hall building. The Regional Council for Disability Affairs (RCDA) led by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga with focal persons from different member-agencies assess the building facilities of the city hall whether or not it conformed with the standards set intended for the persons with disabilities (PWDs). According to National Council for Disability Affairs (NCDA) Regional Program Coordinator Flerida Labanon, the purpose of the accessibility audit is to enhance the accessibility of the city hall to PWDs and to those who have difficulties in moving around, held recently at Butuan City Hall building.
