During the special meeting of the ConsumerNet
held recently at the DTI-Caraga Regl Office, Butuan City, member-agencies
discuss the implementation of the Republic Act No. 10054 known as the
Motorcycle Helmet Act of 2009. DTI emphasizes that all motorcycle riders,
including the back rides shall at all times wear the standard protective
motorcycle helmets while driving whether long, short drives, in any type of
road & highway. A seller and/or dealer shall made available to the
purchaser of a new motorcycle unit the new motorcycle helmet bearing the PS or
ICC mark which the purchaser may buy at his option. (JPG/PIA-Caraga)
