NKTI-REDCOP: Orientation on Deceased Organ Donation held in Butuan City

Some 150 barangay health workers from Butuan City and its neighboring municipalities within Caraga region are shown here participating in the orientation on deceased organ donation, held at the Dotties Place Hotel, Butuan City. The activity, dubbed “Advocacy on Deceased Organ Donation,” is spearheaded by the Department of Health (DOH) through the National Center for Disease Prevention and Control (NCDPC), Philippine Organ Donation and Transplantation Program (PODTP), and the Philippine Network for Organ Sharing (PhilNOS), in cooperation with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), and is aimed at informing the public especially the health workers on issues and concerns regarding organ donation. (GMC/Jennifer P.
