Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Caraga Regional Director Chona Mantilla informs participating agencies that men and women, husband and wives should always be partners in achieving goals to help improve their way of living. She also stressed that the husband should love his wife and never shows superiority over his wife. The opening ceremony was held on March 3, 2009 (Tuesday) at the Butuan City Hall grounds. Butuan City Vice-Mayor Dino Claudio Sanchez emphasizes this year’s theme of the Women’s Month celebration, “Babae, Yaman ka ng Bayan”. Sanchez said “considering that women are the treasure of the society, then men should take care of them”.
