Jobseekers in different ages gather at the desks of construction firms joining the Independence Day job fair of DPWH-1st Engineering District to inquire about job openings. The job fair, spearheaded by the Department of Public Works and Highways in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment and Philippine Contractors Association, was held June 12 at the DPWH – Compound, Capitol Road, Surigao City. Aimed to combat the global financial crisis which dominantly affects the nation and the locality, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) 1st Engineering District here in cooperation with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Philippine Contractor’s Association (PCA) successfully launched a JOBS FAIR for Construction Workers held on June 12, 2009 at the DPWH – Compound, Capitol Road, Surigao City.
