JOBS BRIDGING AND INTERNSHIP FAIR

PIA-Caraga personnel interviews Dir. Teodoro Gatchalian, TESDA Executive Director and National Focal Person of the Jobs Bridging and Internship Program during the Jobs Bridging and Internship Fair in Butuan, recently. Mr. Gatchalian walked the PIA personnel through the whole process of registration and application in the one-day jobs fair. All participants of the fair will be given a gold card where their resume’ are stored enabling them to electronically apply for a job. (PIA-Caraga)


Participants of the one-day Jobs Bridging and Internship Fair diligently scan through the job vacancies. The activity is the first and probably the only job bridging fair to be held here in Butuan. The event aims to provide a venue for the displaced workers to find employment opportunities and a chance to undergo TESDA’s internship program under the Pangulong Gloria Scholarship Grants. It is also a venue for new graduates to find employment without going through the rigors of applying for a job. (PIA-Caraga)

Participants of the Jobs Bridging and Internship Fair, here in Butuan, recently, go through the tedious process of securing their gold cards and applying for the job. Before proceeding to the activity area, the participant has to queue to secure a registration form. After filling in the registration form or the resume’, the participant has to return to the queue to get his/her passport, ID and meal stubs. Participants were also given free t-shirts printed with Pangulong Gloria Scholar Ako. (PIA-Caraga)


In photo are the participants of the Jobs Bridging and Internship Fair, here in Butuan, recently, inside the activity area. After filling in the registration form and securing passport, ID, meal stubs and t-shirt, the participant will proceed to the activity area. First stop will be the encoding section. There the encoder will store or transfer all of the applicant’s information in the registration form to the gold card. Afterwards, those who want employment will be directed to the orientation booth for internship program or employment. Those who do not qualify for employment could avail of the internship program. Those seeking for employment could choose between overseas, local and government employment. For those who needs training, they will proceed to the Pangulong Gloria Scholarships (PGS) orientation booth for career profiling. (PIA-Caraga)


Participants of the one-day Jobs Bridging and Internship Fair, here in Butuan, recently, converge around their booth to relax and avail of free snacks and lunch. The booths serve as the meeting place of the participants from the different provinces in Caraga. The activity has been one of the most successful and well participated job fair in the region.
