A child eating to his heart's content during the conduct of a feeding mission dubbed as Handog Pospas of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office held recently at San Juan covered court, Surigao City. (Fryan E. Abkilan, PIA-Surigao del Norte).
Many children were nourished during the feeding activity supported by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office in line with the 75th anniversary. They served around 1,000 poor and malnourished children in the barangays of San Juan and Sabang in Surigao City. (Fryan E. Abkilan, PIA-Surigao del Norte).

This medical mission happened last Sunday, September 6 at Brgy. Washington covered court sponsored by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) in their 75th anniversary. Dubbed as the “100 Percent in One Day” project, the PCSO’s nationwide medical, dental and information- gathering mission aims to cover all of the country’s barangays. Here in Surigao City, a lot of Surigaonons benefited the said activity. Vitamins and medicines were given to women free of charge. The volunteer doctors from the City Health Office also sponsored free dental and general checkup. (Fryan E. Abkilan, PIA-Surigao del Norte).
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) conducts its medical, dental and feeding mission in two separate venues to an estimated 1,800 people in Surigao City. The venue for the nationwide simultaneous medical and dental mission held in Rural health Center of the municipality of Bayabas, Surigao del Sur. The free medical and dental examination started at around 8:15 o’clock in the morning up to 7:00 o’clock in the evening. (Nida Grace B. Tranquilan, PIA-Surigao del Sur).
