Butuan City Congressman Jose “ Joeboy” Aquino II ( right) tries to comfort the two DENR personnel, Forest Ranger Efren Sabuero and Forester Emiliano Gatillano,Jr. who are still shocked and exhausted from the 35-hour ordeal which they had experienced at the hands of their abductors after they were “conditionally” released yesterday, Oct. 25, 2009. The released hostages were brought to the PNP Regional Headquarters at Camp Rafael Rodriguez in Butuan City for debriefing and medical treatment. The Crisis Management Committee headed by the DENR Regional Executive Director Edilberto S. Buiser said the 6-point demand of the kidnappers are still being evaluated by a technical group although some of it require high-level management decision. (Herzon F. Gallego, DENR RPAO)
