Ms. Susan “Toots” Ople, senatoriable of the Nacionalista Party discusses issues and concerns on the OFWs in a press conference with the local tri-media, held recently in one of the local convention centers in Butuan City. According to Ms. Ople, no matter how hard we inform and warn the public not to transact with illegal recruiters, still they will negotiate with them due to financial constraints. To avoid future problems from their employers abroad, people who wish to work abroad should follow legal processes with the help of OWWA, DOLE, and DFA. (PIA-Caraga)
