DENR-Caraga: Regional Environmental Task Force apprehends more than 35,000 board feet of illegal lumber flitches

ILLEGAL LUMBER: Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Caraga Regional Executive Director Leonardo R. Sibbaluca takes a look of the more than 21,000 board feet of illegal lumber/flitches, the latest apprehension made by the Regional Environment Task Force in the remote sitio New Gingoog, Barangay Remedios in Esperanza, Agusan del Sur. The Relentless anti-illegal logging campaign in the area which began last week has already netted more than 15,000 board feet of illegal lauan lumber flitches that were apprehended by the task force following the imposition of a logging ban in the natural grown and residual forest in the entire country under Executive Order No.23.
