In observance of this year’s World Malaria Day, the
Provincial Health Office (PHO) of Agusan del Norte are shown here during the
press conference on the updates of Malaria cases in the province. Based on the
report on the trend in Malaria Infection released by PHO, in 2003 there were
443 cases or 3.15 percent while in 2011 there were only 13 Malaria cases or

Jimmy Egay bares that their office together with the Department of Health (DOH)
Caraga, Butuan City government, Provincial Government of Agusan del Norte,
Global Fund for Malaria Component (non-government organization), and other
partner agencies are continuously advocating for a Malaria-free municipality
through constant information campaign on the prevention of said disease in the
