discusses in summary the overview of his two-volume book on “Biographical
Sketches of Chinese Settlers in the Butuan-Agusan Area”. He cites how
Filipino-Chinese people worked together with Butuanons and Agusanons, as well
as the founding of Chinese School in Butuan; how the Filipino-Chinese Chamber
of Commerce started; and origin of some streets in the city and province which
are named in Chinese, during the book-launching held on Saturday, July 6 at the
