Lay Forum on Renal Health and Disease Prevention held in Butuan City on May 29, 2014

Assistant Program Manager Dr. Susan Jorge of the National Kidney and Transplant Institute-Renal Disease Control Program (NKTI-REDCOP) during the Lay Forum on Renal Health and Disease Prevention held in Butuan City on May 29. Cristina Tumaliuan of National Kidney and Transplant Institute-Renal Disease Control Program (NKTI-REDCOP) incharge of the Philippine Renal Disease Registry said during an interview over 107.8 Power FM, PIA Caraga’s radio station in Butuan City on May 29 that around 142 patients were recorded to have undergone dialysis in Caraga region in the year 2013. National Kidney and Transplant Institute-Renal Disease Control Program (NKTI-REDCOP) program manager Dr. Antonio Paraiso encourages everyone to take care of the kidneys as a vital organ during the Lay Forum on Renal Health & Disease Prevention held in Butuan City on May 29. "We are here to raise awareness among all Filipinos that kidney disease is common in the Philippines,” Dr. Paraiso said.
