PopCom-Caraga regional director Alexander
Makinano announces that the recent study on 2013 Young Adult Fertility and
Sexuality (YAFS) has a new topic on health and lifestyle including a short
depression scale and the topic on media has also been expanded to include the
new forms of communication technologies that were not yet well-developed in
2002 such as social media, cellphone use and cyberbullying. “The results of
this study will be very helpful for us to identify what programs and services
that need to be enhanced or implemented to really address the pressing issues
which our youth faces today. This effort should not only be done by the
government but should have direct and immediate intervention from the private
sector and the academe. Let’s work together,” he stressed. (Robespierre C.
Tradio, PIA-Caraga)
