Mayor Matugas emphasizes that for 3 consecutive years the city was awarded by
the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) the Seal of Good
Housekeeping (silver category) as recognition for good governance performance
particularly in good planning, sound fiscal management, transparency and

Ernesto Matugas for his 2014 State of Local Governance Performance Report
(SLGPR) on April 24 at the city’s auditorium. Mayor Matugas’ SLGPR covers the
aspect on Governance and Administration, Social Development, Economic
Development, Environmental Management, and Infrastructure Development. He
highlighted the several recognitions received by the city during the year 2013.
