Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Staff Director for Human Resource Division Belinda SB Capul presents the role of PIA in the training-workshop during the “Training of Trainors and Advocates on the Prevention of Renal Disease” held on February 18-19 at the Conference Hall of Garden Oases Resort in Davao City. According to her, PIA is one of the partners of the National Kidney Transplant Institute (NKTI) in advocating Renal Disease Control Program (REDCOP) in all the regions nationwide. (Robert E. Dr. Josephine Valdez, Nephrology Consultant of the National Kidney Transplant Institute (NKTI) and Professor of the College Of Medicine of the De La Salle University in Manila explains the “General Ways of Preventing Kidney Disorder”. Dr. Valdez is one of the resource speakers during the two-day “Training of Trainors and Advocates on the Prevention of Renal Disease” held on February 18-19 at the Conference Hall of Garden Oases Resort in Davao City. REDCOP-NKTI and DOH Program Consultant for Quality Assurance and Training Ms. Minda Quitoriano shares the techniques and strategies in preparing presentation materials such as visual aids, flip charts, and the like during the “Training of Trainors and Advocates on the Prevention of Renal Disease” held on February 18-19 at the Conference Hall of Garden Oases Resort in Davao City. Dr. Jeanne Marlingo of the Regional Health Unit of Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur discusses the Anatomy and Physiology of the Human Kidney in a simulation conducted during the “Training of Trainors and Advocates on the Prevention of Renal Disease” held on February 18-19 at the Conference Hall of Garden Oases Resort in Davao City. Mr. Napoleon Montejo, Medical Technologist of the Provincial Health Office of Agusan del Sur shares his views on the need to have a yearly urinalysis and the right way to collect urine samples and in bringing the sample to the laboratory during the simulation highlighting the “Training of Trainors and Advocates on the Prevention of Renal Disease” held on February 18-19 at the Conference Hall of Garden Oases Resort in Davao City.
