Ms. Ma. Corazon Diwas, Sr. Cooperative Development Specialist from CDA-Central Office informed participants of the COOP-MADE program of CDA. According to Ms. Diwas, the new program is designed to encourage cooperatives towards an enhanced delivery of services to the members through capacity building, technology transfer, marketing assistance and others. Ms. Diwas is CDA Caraga’s guest during the press conference for promotion of Caraga coop-products in celebration of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development (MSMED) month at CDA Regional Office, recently. National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) Regional Program Coordinator Ms. Flerida Labanon discusses with the members of the RCDA the issues and concerns on cases of children with disabilities in different barangays in the region. She also gives some strategies that may help the barangay health workers to properly conduct the monitoring of these children, held recently during the special meeting among RCDA members in one of the convention centers in Butuan City. Mr. Ritchie Ravelo, Butuan Association of Differently-Abled Person (BADAP) President asks help from the government especially that there is an allocated budget for the Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and elders or the Senior Citizens. He also asks members of the Regional Council for Disability Affairs (RCDA) representing various agencies to provide the lists of the programs and projects offered by their agencies which the PWDs can avail of. GSIS Chief Leads Dialogue

Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) President and General Manager Winston F. Garcia (center), in a dialogue with members, explains the recent database crash experienced by the pension fund as the main reason for the temporary slowdown in the processing of loans and claims. The dialogue held at the GSIS Head Office in Pasay City is the last leg of this year’s regional dialogues. It aims to inform members of the latest developments in the GSIS, including new programs and products of the state pension fund.
